Ah, your new phone probably has the SD card in a different place in
the directory
structure.

I would:

- remove any Tasker SD card files you've transferred from the Desire
so far
- do Menu / Data / Backup on the *new* phone
- have a look for the Tasker directory on the SD card on the new phone
with
the new (empty) userbackup.xml
- copy the userbackup.xml from the old phone to that location on the
new phone
